Youth Mental Health First Aid
Empower yourself to support the mental health of the young people in your life!
This 6-hour training equips adults with the knowledge and tools to recognize the difference between everyday challenges and mental health crises in youth.
Through step-by-step guidance, you’ll learn how to respond safely and appropriately, offering the right support when it matters most.This course requires 1-2 hours of online pre-work before the live session. It’s ideal for parents, teachers, school administrators, coaches, grandparents—anyone who interacts with youth!
Flexible Scheduling Options:
One full-day session (6 hours)
Saturday, 4/26, 9am-3pm
Saturday, 5/10, 9am-3pm
Two shorter sessions (3 hours each) over two days (afternoon or evening, based on convenience)
Monday & Tuesday, 4/14 & 4/15, 5:30-9:00pm
Monday & Tuesday, 5/19 & 5/20, 5:30-9:00pm

Teen Mental Health First Aid
Designed for high school students (ages 14-18, grades 9-12), this 4.5-hour course teaches teens how to recognize mental health challenges among their peers, distinguish between struggles and crises, and understand when to seek help from a trusted adult.
Studies show that teens often turn to each other for support—this training ensures they have the right tools to respond safely and effectively while also fostering awareness of their own mental well-being.
Class Format & Availability:
Offered in 90-minute or 45-minute sessions
Runs once per week over 3 or 6 weeks
Hosted on school campuses or at our training center.
Class size: 20-30 students per session

Parent Education
A 60-90 minute informal presentation …
designed to help parents recognize early signs of mental health challenges vs. crises in their children.
This session offers practical strategies for providing support, starting meaningful conversations, and understanding that even the most engaged parents can face these challenges.
Through personal stories and professional insights, this session provides a powerful introduction to youth mental health awareness.
While it’s not a replacement for the full YMHFA course, it serves as an excellent first step toward deeper education and action.
